What Is Ketamine?

Ketamine is an FDA-approved medication safely used for over 50 years. At lower doses and under professional supervision, it can rapidly relieve symptoms of depression, anxiety, and PTSD—often within hours. Beyond medication, ketamine’s psychedelic effects can open new perspectives, fostering emotional breakthroughs and healing when other treatments have failed.

How Ketamine Works: A Simple Metaphor

Meghan often explains ketamine with a simple metaphor.

Think of your brain as a network of roads—neural pathways that carry important messages. Depression is like having potholes and broken bridges along those routes, making it hard for signals to get through and leaving you feeling stuck.

Ketamine acts like a repair crew—filling in the potholes and rebuilding bridges by helping the brain grow new, stronger connections. This allows signals to flow smoothly again, opening the door for healing and change.

On a biological level, ketamine triggers a burst of glutamate, setting off a chain reaction that promotes synaptogenesis—the creation of new neural connections—especially in areas like the prefrontal cortex, which are often affected by chronic stress and depression.

What is an infusion like?

Each ketamine infusion is done in a calm, private space where you’ll be supported the entire time. The medicine is delivered through a small IV over about 40 minutes, followed by a gentle 20–30 minute “come down” period before you head home with your trusted ride.

During the infusion, most people feel deeply relaxed and at ease. You may notice gentle visuals, shifting patterns, or a sense of floating. Some describe it as stepping outside their usual stream of thoughts—like being awake, yet on a different plane of awareness.

It’s common to feel as if you’re observing your life from a new perspective—sometimes revisiting meaningful people, places, or moments from the past. Many describe a warm, loving sense of presence that allows them to explore experiences or emotions they might normally avoid, but with greater compassion, patience, and clarity.

Our Pricing Philosophy

We’ve intentionally set our rates lower than many clinics because we believe everyone deserves access to safe, effective care. Healing should not be out of reach.

Our pricing reflects 90-minute treatment sessions, which provide plenty of time for the infusion, gentle recovery, and provider check-in. If you’d like extra time to rest afterward, you’re welcome to relax in our group integration space at no additional cost.
